Project Application Form

The Foundation Flying Furniture Makers (VMM) supports small scale projects abroad. Do you have a foundation or organization that’s active abroad and do the objectives of your organization match with the objectives of the Flying Furniture Makers:

‘Flying Furniture Makers is a foundation that supports projects in developing countries with specific aid through the skills of furniture makers who work on a completely voluntary basis. In return, the volunteers will receive knowledge of different cultures, customs and ways of life and thinking, for which they will try to raise awareness on their return home. Everything is done in close cooperation with the local population…’

…then you can make an appeal to our foundation. We are able to help you to make furniture for and with the people of your project. From experience we know that not every project is suitable to send our volunteers to , for practical or security reasons. The following conditions need to have been met in order to cooperate successfully:

You have an existing foundation or organization or are the contact of that foundation or organization;

You have a reliable contact in the Netherlands;

You have a reliable contact at the project;

You can guarantee the safety of the volunteers;

You can provide free lodging for the volunteers at the project;

You know where you can buy wood locally;

You have filled in the application form and send it via email to info@vliegendemeubelmakers.nl.

If you file an application via the project application form, you will receive an acknowledgement that your application has been received.

Fill in the complete application form. Your application form needs to have been submitted before the first of August. Within one month we will let you know whether or not the Flying Furniture Makers are going to work for you the coming year.

In October our PR staff will start fundraising for the project. Early in November a definite assessment can be made whether the project can continue or not. If the assessment is positive, volunteers will be recruited.

At this moment it is not yet possible to fill in an application form via the website. You do find a pdf file when opening the next link: project application form. If you do want to file an application with the Flying Furniture Makers, you can ask us by mail to send you the application form. We will then send you a Word document, which you can fill in and send back to us via mail.
